A year ago today, Joan Kilday, came into our lives at TPYK. She was an amazing woman who loved the Boston Red Sox, told unbelievable life stories, shared her wisdom as a devoted mom and friend who consistently gave back throughout her life, not only to her parish community, but to those in need. Joan naturally assumed the “supporter” role in our TPYK program, leading our thankful prayer at lunch and always guiding others with her words of wisdom. She was quick to tell a joke or two, and loved listening to music while reading her Boston Globe with a cup of Red Zinger tea. It was a true blessing to have had such a remarkable person come into our TPYK program and leave such a lasting impression that will stay with us forever.
