Attendees will walk away with new and useful insights into what typically each phase of dementia demonstrates and the best approach to use in order to develop a more meaningful connection with loved ones who are living with memory loss. \nThe goal is for each attendee to acquire a deeper\, empathetic understanding of what their loved one may be experiencing and how to connect heart-to-heart so a trusting relationship can be established and maintained. \nThis is an intensive workshop. Note-taking is highly recommended. How we approach and manage our travels on this life-changing experience is a reflection of our personal awareness and level of compassion for ourself and our loved one. \nThis retreat offers the caregivers valuable time to dig-deeper and reconcile any obstacles that prevent you from enjoying your caregiving journey and get the most out of this precious time you have with your loved one. \nWe will be having instructor-led breakout sessions\, stimulating exercises that will encourage open-mindedness\, acceptance\, rejuvenating reflections and an opportunity to share personal experiences. \nOn Friday evening we will begin the retreat by gathering together for our kick-off meet and greet followed by dinner in the main farmhouse. \nSaturday continental breakfast will be served along with morning introductions and sharing followed by instructor-led discussions\, facilitated exercises\, interactive breakouts and inner reflection.
